Intro to Applied Statistics

An introduction to probability and statistics is the objective of this course. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability and probability distributions, sampling, estimation, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, chi-square tests and simple and multiple regression. The emphasis will be on business applications. The computer will be used extensively. Exclusions: BU205, BU255, EC235, EC255, EC285, MA141, MA240, ST230, ST231, ST260.
